FQM unhappy with Liberals

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Victoria Vanier

FQM President Richard Lehoux after the meeting. According to the board members, it is the local and regional elected officials who find the decisions of the government odious. We are questioned by the people out of work, the entrepreneurs who have lost their representatives, by the electors. We see the CLD’s, the CRE’s and now some Forums jeunesse close their doors, not knowing what the next steps will be, what tools will be at the disposal of the local governments,” said Mr. Lehoux, who continued: “Organizations, such as the Forums jeunesse, are at the base of the vitality of our regions. We demand that the government ensures the continuity of their missions and the financing of the Forums.”

The FQM administrators are also impatient over the negotiations for the new fiscal agreement and hope that it will be resolved before the summer.
