Town­ships Mu­si­cians head to Stanstead Jam­boree

TheS­tanstead Le­gion will be a hop­ping hall this Satur­day, April 25th, with the third an­nual Mu­si­cal Jam­boree, an event or­ga­nized to raise money for the Chil­dren’s Wish Foun­da­tion. Any­one who en­joys singing or play­ing an in­stru­ment is wel­come to head to the Le­gion, be­tween 1:00 pm and closing, and join the dozens of mu­si­cians from around the Town­ships who are al­ready plan­ning to at­tend this popular event. Some of those in­clude Brian Curtis and Slightly Hag­gard, Night Train, the Silverados, Dan and Perry Cormier, Ron­nie Hazel­ton with his vi­o­lin and the Stanstead Le­gion house band: Buck Say­ers,

Wayne Doucet and Bill Lavers.

“They’re all West­ern bands but they play ev­ery­thing, Rock and Roll, hit songs,” said Elaine Mc Comb who or­ga­nizes the event along with Priscilla Seguin. “It’s a re­ally great day,” she added. There will be ham­burg­ers, hot­dogs and French fries for sale through­out the day and evening, with pro­ceeds from those sales also go­ing to­wards the Chil­dren’s Wish Foun­da­tion which makes dreams come true for lo­cal chil­dren with chal­leng­ing or life-threat­en­ing med­i­cal con­di­tions.
