Townships Musicians head to Stanstead Jamboree
TheStanstead Legion will be a hopping hall this Saturday, April 25th, with the third annual Musical Jamboree, an event organized to raise money for the Children’s Wish Foundation. Anyone who enjoys singing or playing an instrument is welcome to head to the Legion, between 1:00 pm and closing, and join the dozens of musicians from around the Townships who are already planning to attend this popular event. Some of those include Brian Curtis and Slightly Haggard, Night Train, the Silverados, Dan and Perry Cormier, Ronnie Hazelton with his violin and the Stanstead Legion house band: Buck Sayers,
Wayne Doucet and Bill Lavers.
“They’re all Western bands but they play everything, Rock and Roll, hit songs,” said Elaine Mc Comb who organizes the event along with Priscilla Seguin. “It’s a really great day,” she added. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs and French fries for sale throughout the day and evening, with proceeds from those sales also going towards the Children’s Wish Foundation which makes dreams come true for local children with challenging or life-threatening medical conditions.
