Thank You to North Country Hospital Volunteers
Thepatients and families as well as staff of North Country Hospital appreciate our volunteers all year long, and last week the group was recognized for their dedication and many hours of service at a volunteer dinner prepared and hosted by the hospital’s own food and nutrition department.
Director of Volunteers, Merrilyn Barry, proudly acknowledged each and every volunteer in attendance, awarding recognition gifts to all. “This is the best group of volunteers anyone could ask for,” she added. “They are so committed to their work schedule. A couple of weeks ago a longstanding volunteer had a medical emergency, and as she was getting into the ambulance, she told her daughter, don’t forget to call Merrilyn – it doesn’t look like I’ll be working tomorrow!”
President & CEO Claudio Fort and Chief Financial Officer Andre Bissonnette voiced their appreciation at the dinner to the high energy crowd in the hospital’s cafeteria. Claudio added, “you are all the backbone of our operations here, from greeting patients and families at the front desk and surgical waiting room to assisting staff in the dialysis center, and everything in between.” Pictured here with their accumulated hours of service are: 1st row L to R-
