The Es­tria Wood­wind Quin­tet

TheEs­tria Wood­wind Quin­tet will be pre­sent­ing the last pro­gram of its regular sea­son of con­certs on Satur­day April 25th at 8 pm at St. An­drew’s Church in Lennoxville and Sun­day April 26th at 2:30 pm at St. El­iz­a­beth’s Church in North Hat­ley. En­ti­tled, « The Three Winds », this con­cert will fea­ture the wind trio of the quin­tet: Claire Marc­hand, flute; Éti­enne de Médi­cis, oboe; and Pauline Far­ru­gia, clar­inet and bass clar­inet. Th­ese ex­tra­or­di­nary mu­si­cians will per­form trio works by Tele­mann, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Haydn and Os­tran­sky. One of the « Lon­don » Trios by Franz Joseph Haydn, «Eine Kleine Nacht­musik» by Wolf­gang Amadeus Mozart, a few move­ments from « The Four Sea­sons » by An­to­nio Vivaldi and a charm­ing flute and clar­inet duo by the Amer­i­can com­poser Leroy Os­tran­sky are among the jew­els on au­dio dis­play at this event.
