The Estria Woodwind Quintet
TheEstria Woodwind Quintet will be presenting the last program of its regular season of concerts on Saturday April 25th at 8 pm at St. Andrew’s Church in Lennoxville and Sunday April 26th at 2:30 pm at St. Elizabeth’s Church in North Hatley. Entitled, « The Three Winds », this concert will feature the wind trio of the quintet: Claire Marchand, flute; Étienne de Médicis, oboe; and Pauline Farrugia, clarinet and bass clarinet. These extraordinary musicians will perform trio works by Telemann, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Haydn and Ostransky. One of the « London » Trios by Franz Joseph Haydn, «Eine Kleine Nachtmusik» by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a few movements from « The Four Seasons » by Antonio Vivaldi and a charming flute and clarinet duo by the American composer Leroy Ostransky are among the jewels on audio display at this event.
