Pirate Island opens tomorrow night
The curtains go up and the singing will start, tomorrow evening, in the Alexander Galt High School auditorium with the first presentation of Pirate Island – the Musical. This year’s annual play will showcase the abundant musical talent of this year’s crop of actors, along with the acting skills of the thirty-five member cast. There will also be a surprise Cameo appearance by an important member of the Galt community, but no-one is giving up the secret as to who the guest actor is!
Because there were so many talented students and because singing the lead roles can be taxing on the vocal chords, there will be alternating actors in the two leading roles of Captain Peach and Barbara. Saturday evening’s performance will feature Ryan Costello and Abigail McLean while Sunday’s matinee will be with Anthony Tetreault and Darby Drew.
A play fit for the whole family, performances of irate slan the usical, written by Martin Follose with additional music by Carol Hall, will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, 8:00 pm, and Sunday at 1:00 pm. Tickets available at Tri-Us Boutique, in Lennoxville, or at the door.
Abigail McLean, Darby Drew, Lou Bilodeau (back) David Wharry, Ryan Costello and Anthony Tetreault (left to right) were featured on CBC Radio, last week, to talk about Pirate Island.
