Sunnyside students juggling hoops during the Circus Show.

Nowwith two years of training under their belts, the Sunnyside students are becoming quite entertaining with their circus acts, learnt at school through the physical education program and with the help of a professional circus performer. Over two hundred and fifty attended the performance last Thursday evening with members of the community, not just parents, coming out for the show.

“The show was super and the students were great. Many of the parents now want to buy the equipment so the kids can practise at home,” said Heather Stratton, the secretary of Sunnyside Elementary. The show, besides giving the students the chance to show off what they’ve learnt, was also a fundraiser to help keep the Circus program going at the school.

It was standing room only at Sunnyside Elementary’s second annual Circus Show.
