Still Standing

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM -

STANDING is a quirky, irreverent, funny, and ultimately affectionate adventure into small town Canada and the people who proudly choose to make it home. STILL STANDING will be airing on CBC starting in June 2015.

Actor and comedian Jonny Harris travels across Canada to explore small towns and meet the people who still call them home. While at each location he performs an original stand-up comedy routine for the locals based on the people, town and his experience.

And to show there’s still passion for the lifestyle and laughs to be had in these resilient places, Jonny will prepare a stand-up comedy routine based on his adventures and perform it for the locals. The light-hearted show pays homage to his hosts and proves to viewers that even in the smallest, most hard pressed corners of Canada there’s warmth, spirit, and of course, comedy.

In each episode of STILL STANDING Jonny arrives in a somewhat nondescript town in Canada that may have seen its best days some years ago. The town is one you’ve
