Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Every spring, once the snow has melted, we see garbage that people with little concern for the environment have left behind over the winter. To improve the situation, the Borough of Lennoxville encourages residents to participate in a community clean-up to help spruce up our downtown area and parks. On Saturday, May 9th, from 10 a.m. to noon, you are invited to help clean-up our Borough parks and public areas.

The Borough of Lennoxville is also offering a free shredding service for residents who want to destroy confidential documents. You can put your documents in the secure bins that will be set up in the lobby of the community centre on May 9th between 10 a.m. and noon. Shredit will be responsible for destroying the documents following the activity.

Anyone interested in taking part in the community clean-up is asked to meet at the:

Centennial Park, On Speid Street, Saturday, May 9th, starting at 10 a.m.

The activity will begin with a short interactive workshop on the environment followed by the customary group clean-up effort. Following the activity, participants are invited to enjoy coffee, juice, and pastries.
