MAC Cen­ter for the Arts presents Muse-ical Har­vest III - Such Short Lit­tle Lives

When MAC Mem­ber Cat Holm men­tioned a story of hers was to ap­pear in the short story an­thol­ogy "Res­cued: The Sto­ries of 12 Cats, Through Their Eyes, she pro­vided the theme for the third in the MAC Cen­ter's "Muse-ical Har­vest" per­for­mance se­ries.

Fri­day, June 5, 6:30 pm per­for­mance will be about “our an­i­mal com­pan­ions”. MAC will present po­ems, songs, and sto­ries about them. The sub­ti­tle for the event, "Such Short Lit­tle Lives," comes to us cour­tesy of John Gro­gan, the au­thor of "Mar­ley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog." Mr. Gro­gan's funny and touch­ing eu­logy to Mar­ley, Say­ing Farewell to a Faith­ful Pal, will be read by our em­cee, Bradleigh S. Stock­well, to begin the evening.

The third Muse-ical Har­vest will in­clude a gen­uinely im­pres­sive ros­ter of tal­ent by MAC Mem­bers Cat Holm, John Selmer, Dianne La­plante, Su­san-Lynn Johns, and by our two new­est mem­bers: Mary Dami­ani and Diana Stock­well. An added at­trac­tion is a spe­cial ap­pear­ance by Black­bird Storm –gui­tarist, Nathan Sar­gent and per­cus­sion­ist, Jim Duck­less. Their quirky mix­ture of coun­try and pop is be­com­ing known in Ver­mont as a must-hear. A por­tion of the pro­ceeds from Cat Holm’s book RES­CUED will be do­nated to the POPE Fron­tier An­i­mal So­ci­ety.
