Mu­sic, Mu­sic And More Mu­sic In North Hat­ley This Sum­mer

TheMas­saw­ippi Mu­sic Fes­ti­val (pre­sented by the Es­tria Wood­wind Quin­tet) will be pick­ing up where the Lake Massawippi Fes­ti­val left off al­most a decade ago. As in the past, th­ese con­certs will take place at St. El­iz­a­beth’s Church and the fes­ti­val will present a con­cert each Satur­day dur­ing the month of June (6, 13, 20 and 27). The con­certs will begin at 8 pm and will be pre­ceded by a con­fer­ence at 7:30 pm. The event will host a star stud­ded line-up of per­form­ers, in­clud­ing the early mu­sic en­sem­ble, LES VOIX HU­MAINES, the prodi­giously tal­ented Sher­brooke pi­anist, TRIS­TAN LONG­VAL-GAGNÉ, the con­cert­mas­ter of the Toronto Sym­phony Orches­tra, JONATHAN CROW, with pi­anist PHILIP CHIU, and the prin­ci­pal flautist of the Mon­tréal Sym­phony Orches­tra, TI­MOTHY HUTCHINS, with pi­anist JANET CREASER HUTCHINS. DREAM­LAND CON­CERTS:

The mu­nic­i­pal­ity of the Vil­lage of North Hat­ley will be pre­sent­ing a se­ries of free con­certs in the Scowen gazebo of Dream­land Park dur­ing the months of July and Au­gust. In ad­di­tion to spe­cial con­certs on June 24th and July 1st, there will be a con­cert pre­sented ev­ery Satur­day evening at 7:30 pm and ev­ery Sun­day at noon, start­ing on July 11th. The public is in­vited to bring a pic­nic or to take ad­van­tage of the de­lights that the vil­lage restau­rants and cafés have to of­fer, this in ad­di­tion to en­joy­ing this idyl­lic spot in one of Québec’s most beau­ti­ful vil­lages.
