Re­cy­cling plant will open to public

Ifyou ever wanted to know what hap­pens to all of the ma­te­ri­als that get re­cy­cled in this area ev­ery year, now’s your chance! The Regie de Re­cu­per­a­tion de l’Estrie, the fa­cil­ity where the con­tents of all the blue bins are taken, is host­ing an Open House this Satur­day, May 30th, from 9:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. ‘Re­cy­col­o­gist’ Monique Cle­ment, the en­vi­ron­ment ex­pert who works for the Coat­i­cook MRC, will be at the Regie de Re­cu­per­a­tion de l’Estrie on Satur­day to ex­plain what’s go­ing on there and to an­swer ques­tions from the public.

since it is Tree Day, vis­i­tors will re­ceive a free tree to plant in their yard just for vis­it­ing the re­cy­cling de­pot. The Regie de Re­cu­per­a­tion de l’Estrie is lo­cated at 2180 Claude-Gr­ef­fard Street, near Queen Vic­to­ria Boule­vard, in Sher­brooke. Ev­ery­one is wel­come.
