Recycling plant will open to public
Ifyou ever wanted to know what happens to all of the materials that get recycled in this area every year, now’s your chance! The Regie de Recuperation de l’Estrie, the facility where the contents of all the blue bins are taken, is hosting an Open House this Saturday, May 30th, from 9:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. ‘Recycologist’ Monique Clement, the environment expert who works for the Coaticook MRC, will be at the Regie de Recuperation de l’Estrie on Saturday to explain what’s going on there and to answer questions from the public.
since it is Tree Day, visitors will receive a free tree to plant in their yard just for visiting the recycling depot. The Regie de Recuperation de l’Estrie is located at 2180 Claude-Greffard Street, near Queen Victoria Boulevard, in Sherbrooke. Everyone is welcome.
