The com­pany, which cuts and bends sheet metal, be­gan op­er­a­tions on March 30th and em­ploys eight. “I’m start­ing small but we plan to in­crease the num­ber of em­ploy­ees,” added Mr. van Zuiden.

This Satur­day, May 30th, at Tyler Park from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, trees will be given away to Ayer’s Cliff res­i­dents on a first­come, first-served ba­sis. There will also be work­shops on re­cy­cling, com­post­ing, and a dis­play on wa­ter con­ser­va­tion.

Two Ayer’s Cliff res­i­dents, Christina Lafond Smith and Miche­line Dubois Cliché, re­cently re­ceived Lieu­tenant Gover­nor of Que­bec medals for their com­mu­nity work from the Lieu­tenant Gover­nor of Que­bec, the Hon­or­able Pierre Duch­esne.
