Part of Sher­brooke bike path closed to­day

The City of Sher­brooke’s roads depart­ment will be car­ry­ing out main­te­nance work and re­pairs, in­clud­ing re-fill­ing with gravel, on a 3.4 kilo­me­tre stretch of the Gran­des-Fourches bi­cy­cle net­work to­day. The stretch of bike path on the Massawippi trail will be com­pletely closed dur­ing the work. The main­te­nance and re­pair work, which will in­clude com­pact­ing, is be­ing done be­tween the bi­cy­cle halt, near 4 Massawippi Street, and the McDon­ald Road.

Cy­clists wish­ing to head to­wards North Hat­ley to­day will have to join up with the bike path on the Capel­ton Road (route 108). A map of the Gran­des-Fourches bi­cy­cle path net­work can be found on the City of Sher­brooke’s in­ter­net site.
