Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Samuel Bonneau, of Stanstead, has just returned from a Les Vainqueurs seminar, held in Laval, which was organized by the War Amps ‘Champs’ program. Now in its 40th year, the Champs program has allowed generations of young people with amputations to get financial aid to buy artificial limbs and to take part in seminars where they benefit from the support of their peers.

During the seminar, nine year-old Samuel, who has had his feet and hands amputated, learnt about recent innovations to artificial limbs and how to handle teasing and bullying.

The Champs program exists thanks to the generosity of the public in supporting the key tag and address sticker initiatives.
