Dixville on television tonight

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Victoria Vanier

Thetiny town of Dixville will be on television tonight, featured in Radio Canada’s popular television show La petite seduction. The episode was filmed at the beginning of May when comedian/scientist Boucar Diouf was ‘seduced’ by the residents of Dixville in all sorts of creative ways that will surely make for good television. The show airs on RadioCanada at 8:00 pm tonight.

Dixville residents will have a community viewing of the episode as it airs in the gymnasium of Ecole Sancta Maria de Dixville.

If you pass by Studio Georgeville this summer, you'll notice something new—two handsome benches crafted by Tomifobia cabinetmaker Niels Jensen and donated by Georgeville resident Andrew Howick. All of us in the Coopérative des artistes de Georgeville would like to thank Mr. Howick for this generous contribution. From the moment the benches touched the ground, it was evident that they will be much used and much enjoyed! Andrew Howick cracks open a bottle of wine to welcome the arrival of the benches on May 16, 2015. Another faithful Studio Georgeville supporter, Tony Straessle, was on hand at the celebration.
