No sun but lots of fun at CAB Golf Tournament
One of the happy foursomes playing in last Friday’s CAB RH Rediker tournament at the Dufferin Heights Golf Club were Michel Létourneau, Lorna Varden, Francine Otis and André Gaulin.
Although it sprinkled on and off last Friday, the golfers taking part in the CAB RH Rediker’s annual Golf Tournament, held each year at the Dufferin Heights Colf Club in Stanstead East, all got to finish their games. “Nobody won the Hole-in-one for $10,000,” said Robert Galazzo who organized the tournament along with André Gaulin and Arthur LaPenna.
Nancy Layton was closest to the pin, off by only eighteen inches, and Jacques Diotte was closest to the pin for the men, at forty-two inches.
About one hundred and twenty attended the supper at the Golf Club following the tournament, enjoying a mechoui dinner of pork and beef. Lots of raffle and door prizes were won, including an IPad by Lorna Varden.
“We’re very fortunate that we got so much local support from people and businesses that donate prizes and send foursomes to the tournament,” said the director of the CAB RH Rediker, Mylene LaBonté.
“I’d like to thank all my helpers: Art and Diane LaPenna, my wife Gisele, André Gaulin, Denis Parent, and Mylene LaBonté, Josianne Caillet, Lynn Wood and Linda Durocher of the CAB,” concluded Mr. Galazzo.
Linda Durocher and Lynn Wood were busy selling raffle tickets for great prizes at hole no. 4 during the CAB tournament last Friday afternoon.
