– Motorcyclist dies in Bolton East
Over the weekend, the Sureté du Québec was called to respond to a serious accident on route 243 in Bolton East. A person driving a motorcycle was not able to negotiate a curve in the road and lost control of the motorcycle. She was taken to the hospital and
pronounced dead on arrival. The driver was part of a group learning how to drive motorcycles. Inexperience is suspected to be the cause of the tragic accident. The victim was 35 year-old Stephanie Gaulin, of Potton.
Investigators with the Sureté du Québec arrested Bernard Houle, of Sherbrooke, in relation to a child pornography case, last Thursday. The 54 year-old man appeared in court and faced the charges of possession and accessing child pornography after investigators searched his home and found material on his computer.
Since 2010, the Sureté du Québec has benefitted from the expertise of more than 250 investigators from the Services d’enquetes regionales which was created to investigate child pornography on the internet. These investigators cover the entire territory of Quebec and support the Sureté du Québec’s child pornography investigation team.
