– Mo­tor­cy­clist dies in Bolton East

Over the week­end, the Sureté du Québec was called to re­spond to a se­ri­ous ac­ci­dent on route 243 in Bolton East. A per­son driv­ing a mo­tor­cy­cle was not able to ne­go­ti­ate a curve in the road and lost con­trol of the mo­tor­cy­cle. She was taken to the hos­pi­tal and

pro­nounced dead on ar­rival. The driver was part of a group learn­ing how to drive mo­tor­cy­cles. In­ex­pe­ri­ence is sus­pected to be the cause of the tragic ac­ci­dent. The vic­tim was 35 year-old Stephanie Gaulin, of Pot­ton.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors with the Sureté du Québec ar­rested Bernard Houle, of Sher­brooke, in re­la­tion to a child pornog­ra­phy case, last Thurs­day. The 54 year-old man ap­peared in court and faced the charges of pos­ses­sion and ac­cess­ing child pornog­ra­phy af­ter in­ves­ti­ga­tors searched his home and found ma­te­rial on his com­puter.

Since 2010, the Sureté du Québec has ben­e­fit­ted from the ex­per­tise of more than 250 in­ves­ti­ga­tors from the Ser­vices d’en­quetes re­gionales which was cre­ated to in­ves­ti­gate child pornog­ra­phy on the in­ter­net. These in­ves­ti­ga­tors cover the en­tire ter­ri­tory of Que­bec and sup­port the Sureté du Québec’s child pornog­ra­phy in­ves­ti­ga­tion team.
