again we will be start­ing our monthly meet­ing for the English se­niors (and as you know, se­niors are 50+) at the Cen­tre Elie-Car­rier on Mer­ril street on Oc­to­ber 20th, 2015. But in the mean­time, the Septem­ber meet­ing will be on the 22nd at the Coat­i­cook Golf Club. A so­cial time start­ing with ex­chang­ing news of our sum­mer dur­ing a de­li­cious salad lun­cheon start­ing at noon. The beau­ti­ful view by it­self is worth join­ing us. Bring a friend, ev­ery­one is wel­comed. We nor­mally phone the mem­bers a week in ad­vance but for Septem­ber, please RSVP with Shirley Des­ruis­seaux at 819-8496170 be­fore Septem­ber 19th.

Club started in the 70’s and we are the only English group in the Coat­i­cook area. We are try­ing to keep our pres­ence alive in the com­mu­nity. French speak­ing se­niors are al­ways wel­comed.

gather on the third Tues­day of each month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a so­cial time that in­cludes din­ner and a va­ri­ety of other things like sto­ries, a spe­cial speaker when pos­si­ble, games, cards, dis­plays (crafts or other), door prizes and al­ways a birth­day cake. We phone the mem­bers the week be­fore the meet­ing to know how many will at­tend so we can give no­tice to the cook. RVSP’s must be made at all times, one week be­fore. If you can’t come af­ter giv­ing your name, you must ad­vise Shirley Des­ruis­seaux at 819-849-6170. Any­one can at­tend and mem­bers of­ten bring guests.

– Peace­fully at the Perth Hos­pi­tal on Tues­day, June 23rd, 2015 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Mor­ris Bul­lock. Dear sis­ter of Melvin Mark Mosher. Sis­ter-in-law to Shirley (Dale Rollins). Spe­cial grand­nephew Josh McNabb. Pre­de­ceased by her par­ents Joseph and Louise Mosher, and her sib­lings, Wal­ter, Ella, Edith, Thomas, Fran­cis, Bryon and Mil­lard. Sadly missed by many nieces, neph­ews, ex­tended fam­ily and friends. Who so ever be­lieves in

Friends were in­vited to visit with the fam­ily at the Lan­nin Fu­neral Home, Smiths Falls on Sun­day, June 28th, 2015 from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. A Fu­neral Ser­vice was held at the Free Methodist Church, Smiths Falls on Mon­day, June 29th, 2015 at 11 a.m. In­ter­ment fol­lowed at Maple Vale Ceme­tery. 1936-2015 – It is with heavy hearts that we an­nounce the pass­ing of our cher­ished Pete on Au­gust 14th. Son of the late Ena West and Alexan­der Drys­dale; lov­ing fa­ther to Kim (Dim­itri), Marc (Na­dia) and Nick. His ab­sence will leave a huge hole in the life of his part­ner and best friend Mar­tine (de Pooter). He leaves to mourn, his brother Kevin (Janet), grand­chil­dren Danika, Zach, Cameron and Car­son, Cousin Bon­nie, among oth­ers, nieces, grand nieces, grand­nephew and also many good friends. A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held on Satur­day, Septem­ber 12th at 1 p.m. at the Stanstead South Church on Church Street in Stanstead, Que­bec. A do­na­tion in Pete’s name to the Fron­tier An­i­mal So­ci­ety at P.O. Box 2505, Stanstead Qc. J0B 1E0, would be ap­pre­ci­ated. Holy Spirit, you who makes ev­ery­thing clear to me, who en­light­ens all paths, lead­ing to my ideal, who gives me the di­vine gifts of for­give­ness, for­get­ting the wrongs done by me and who is with me ev­ery mo­ment of my life.
