Broad­way Comes to New­port

Join the Now Play­ing New­port Mu­sic Se­ries for their only evening per­for­mance of the year on Satur­day, Septem­ber 5th as we welcome Phil Gosselin & Jenny Dunne at St. Mark's Church, 44 Sec­ond Street, New­port. The pro­gram be­gins at 7 pm. They come to us from the Re­cent QNEK pro­duc­tions of the Sound of Mu­sic and Suds.They will bring the bright lights of Broad­way and be­yond to New­port, VT! Come and en­joy old fa­vorites and new clas­sics from the Great White Way as this crack­er­jack pair toasts to sum­mer's end. Chris Sellers will be the ac­com­pa­nist.

Se­lec­tions will in­clude: "If I loved You" from Carousel, "I Have Dreamed" from the King and I, "On the Street Where You live" from My Fair Lady, "Ya Got Trou­ble" from the Mu­sic Man, "Love, You Didn't Do Right by Me " from White Christ­mas, and many more.

Jenny Dunne is an ac­tor and singer orig­i­nally from Colorado who re­lo­cated to the North­east King­dom re­cently from New York. She holds a de­gree in Theatre Per­for­mance from the Univer­sity of Colorado at Boul­der and has been lucky enough to per­form act­ing, im­prov, and mu­sic pro­fes­sion­ally across the United States and in Ire­land. Jenny works at QNEK Pro­duc­tions as an As­so­ciate Pro­duc­ing Di­rec­tor and is look­ing for­ward to di­rect­ing the fi­nal show of their Main­stage Sea­son, Steel Magnolias.

Na­tive Vermonter, Phil Gosselin re­turned to the North­east King­dom in 2012 with part­ner Jenny Dunne. With a BFA in Mu­si­cal Theatre Per­for­mance from Syra­cuse Univer­sity, Phil has worked as an ac­tor, re­gion­ally along the eastern coast of the United States, and now pro­duces and di­rects theatre along­side part­ner (and fi­ancee) Jenny Dunne, with QNEK Pro­duc­tions, Theatre Com­pany in Res­i­dence at the Haskell Opera House.
