Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Special collaboration Phyllis Dustin

Members of the Stanstead County Horticulture Society, friends and family met at the Ayer’s Cliff Market on Saturday September 19th 2015 to honour Shirley Roy with an appreciation Plaque for all her years of exhibiting and participation in the cooking section. The plaque was presented to Shirley by Ghislaine Leblond, president of the Stanstead County Horticulture Society. Grandchildren and other family members presented Shirley with bouquets of flowers. A delicious cake was made and beautifully decorated by her niece Sara Roy, featuring a picture of Shirley receiving one of her trophies from Doug Johnston and Richie Harrison, many years ago. The cake was presented to Shirley by her sister Vye Danforth. Shirley voiced her appreciation, then cut and passed the cake around to all who had come to congratulate her on this special occasion.
