Police News – Operation Cisaille continues
Detectives with the Sûreté du Québec’s BromeMissisquoi post carried out an Operation Cisaille 2.0 last week, finding more than four hundred cannabis plants on a property near chemin Molleur, in Pike River. The plants were in groups of several dozen, in a field of corn. The investigation is continuing. Two other properties on chemin Dubois in Pike River were visited and officers found another dozen plants. The two residents on the properties were arrested.
Forty mature cannabis plants were found by officers with the Sûreté du Québec of the Memphrémagog MRC on a property on chemin des Loyalistes, in South Stukely. The owner of the property, a 57 year-old man, was arrested. The plantation was spotted from a Canadian Forces helicopter, in partnership with the Sûreté du Québec. Anyone with information about cannabis plantations can call Centrale d'information criminelle (1 800 659-4264) or Échec au Crime (1 800 711-1800).
