Ma­gog hon­ors its fire­fight­ers

Last Thurs­day, the City of Ma­gog rec­og­nized nine of its fire­fight­ers who had ac­cu­mu­lated twenty years of ser­vice by award­ing each a Gover­nor Gen­eral of Canada Medal in a cer­e­mony held at the Town Hall in front of their col­leagues, friends and fam­i­lies. The medals were given out by Ma­gog mayor Vicki May Hamm and the Di­rec­tor of the city’s fire depart­ment, Luc Paré.

The nine re­cip­i­ents of the Gover­nor Gen­eral of Canada Medals were: Stephane Belanger, Lieu­tenant; Daniel Car­riere, Lieu­tenant; Fran­cois Cournoyer, fire­fighter; Fran­cois Gau­vin, fire­fighter; Luc Gelé, fire­fighter; Pa­trick God­hue, fire­fighter; Real Labonté, fire­fighter; Martin R. Pomer­leau, fire­fighter; and De­nis Va­chon, fire­fighter.
