Burgers for Books
Ayer’sCliff’s three schools will be receiving a nice bonus, for the seventh year in a row, from the Association des Ecoles d’Ayer’s Cliff, the organization that took over the Quebec Farmers Association’s food kiosk at the Ayer’s Cliff Fair. This time at the fair, the roughly seventy volunteers were able to raise, through the selling of the famous hamburgers and the other new items that have been added to the menu, more than $12,000. Ayer’s Cliff Elementary School, St. Barthelemy and College Servite will each receive $4,322 to go towards school materials, special workshops for the students and theatre outings.
Association des Ecoles d’Ayer’s Cliff got a big boost, last year, when they received a grant from the Tillotson Coaticook Region Fund to buy new cooking equipment for the kiosk, located under the grandstand.
