Gaiters Se­nior Day Spoiled By No. 3 Carabins

TheNo.3 ranked Montreal Carabins took con­trol of Satur­day’s RSEQ Univer­sity Foot­ball match-up early and did not look back. They spoiled the Bishop’s Gaiters se­nior day by a fi­nal score of 52-3 in Len­noxville.

kicker Louis-Philippe Simoneau missed a field goal on the Carabins open­ing drive but they re­sponded with four con­sec­u­tive touch­downs to grab con­trol of the game. While the Carabins rolled, the Gaiters strug­gled. Three of Montreal’s first four ma­jor scores came thanks to mis­cues by the Gaiters, two in­ter­cep­tions, one re­turned for a touch­down, and a fum­ble.

the mo­men­tum clearly on their side Montreal grabbed a 21-0 lead af­ter the first quar­ter, only to score less than a minute into the sec­ond frame be­fore ex­tend­ing their ad­van­tage to 35-0 at half­time.
