Crosses mark Remembrance

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM -

Afew members of the Stanstead Legion visited six local cemeteries on Saturday, and it had nothing to do with Halloween. Stanstead Legion president Larry Cuerrier, his son Nathan, and Legion members Cathy and Dougie Parker spent Saturday morning planting around one hundred and thirty little white crosses on the graves of local eterans. The cemeteries where the crosses were placed were Apple Grove, Beebe Plains, Crystal Lake, Griffin, St. Mary’s and Woodside. If anyone knows of a eteran who has been buried in a local cemetery and they would like to have a cross placed at the gravesite can call the Stanstead Legion ( 1 76-5 44) and make a request.
