Christmas trees and Calendars to support Haiti school
Thehumanitarian organization which was begun by Townshipper Yannick Daoudi, the InspirAction Foundation, is proud to announce that its little school in Haiti began its 4th school year, last October, with 70 students and eight fulltime employees. In the last year, $20,000 was raised with 100% of the funds going towards finishing the school’s washrooms, the completion of the school wall, the construction of four foundations for four new classes, the building of one of those classes, connecting the school to the power grid, furnish the new classroom and repair existing space, and install a water distribution system in the community.
Nine Sherbrooke residents volunteered in the last year, paying their own expenses, seven going to Haiti and two going to Ghana to work on the project there.
This holiday season, if you’d like to support the InspirAction Foundation and its work, you can order either a wall calendar or a fresh Christmas tree, delivered to your home by volunteers.
