Sherbrooke to extend water system to Huntingville
TheCity of Sherbrooke will proceed, in 2016, to extend its water network to the Huntingville sector of the Lennoxville Borough. In order to resolve a water quality problem, the city would like the extension to serve residences and institutions in this sector. This project was approved by a majority of the residents living in that sector. The total cost of the work is estimated at $3,177,000, divided equally between the City of Sherbrooke and the riverside residents. The cost to the city will be $1,832,600. This amount will be partially financed by the TECQ 2014 – 2018 program (taxe sur l’essence et de la contribution du Quebec) which will provide $831,000, and through a loan of $2,346,000.
