An18 year-old from Ma­gog was in the Sher­brooke Court House, on Mon­day, to face charges of three break­ing and en­ter­ing into com­merces in down­town Ma­gog. He was ar­rested by of­fi­cers with the Regie de po­lice Mem­phrem­a­gog (RPM) for the first time late Fri­day night af­ter two at­tempts, thanks to a wit­ness and a sur­veil­lance cam­era. Af­ter be­ing re­leased, he was ar­rested the fol­low­ing night for a third at­tempt to break into a busi­ness.

A 21 year old man from Ayer’s Cliff was stopped while driv­ing his ve­hi­cle a lit­tle be­fore 1:00 am Satur­day morn­ing on Merry north, in Ma­gog. His pro­ba­tion­ary li­cense was sus­pended for ninety days for hav­ing more than the le­gal limit of al­co­hol in his blood and he will face crim­i­nal charges.

On Satur­day, around 6:40 pm, a man who was in the Hall Street sec­tor of Ma­gog man­aged to put out a bal­cony fire that he saw be­hind the dwelling at 255 Hall. The fire had been started vol­un­tar­ily with some kind of flammable liq­uid. The Regie de po­lice Mem­phrem­a­gog ar­rested a 55 year old woman in con­nec­tion with the fire and for pos­ses­sion of cannabis. Be­cause of her psy­cho­log­i­cal state, she was taken to the Ma­gog hos­pi­tal. The mo­tive be­hind the fire might have been re­venge fol­low­ing a con­flict. An in­ves­ti­ga­tion was opened.

A 38 year-old man was ar­rested for break­ing bail con­di­tions by go­ing to the home of woman that he was not al­lowed to have con­tact with and by break­ing his cur­few. The 47 year-old woman was also ar­rested for making con­tact. The two sus­pects had been ar­rested pre­vi­ously, on Novem­ber 8th, for pos­ses­sion of al­most 1000 metham­phetamine pills.
