Armistice Meet­ing of the Austin W.I.

The­meet­ing took place at the Austin Town Hall on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 12th 2015. It be­gan at 11:30 with a pot-luck luncheon of soup, sand­wiches and var­i­ous desserts. Ev­ery­thing hit the spot & all were thanked for their con­tri­bu­tion. At 1 p.m. the meet­ing was opened in the usual man­ner with the M.S. Col­lect and Salute to the Cana­dian flag. Roll Call was to name a friend or rel­a­tive who had served in World Wars 1 and / or 2 and was well an­swered by 9 mem­bers with some most in­ter­est­ing sto­ries. Sec. Liz Good­win read the min­utes from the last meet­ing and Treas. Betty Telford pre­sented her fi­nan­cial re­port – both were ap­proved. Let­ters of thanks were read from the P.E.E.S. School in Ma­gog for do­na­tion to help with the Break­fast pro­gram. Also from Sheila Need­ham for do­na­tion given to the A.C.W.W. – Women walk the world. Plans for De­cem­ber meet­ing were fi­nal­ized to take place on Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 9th at the Austin Town Hall. All mem­bers to par­tic­i­pate with each bring­ing their Christ­mas spe­cial for a fes­tive party. Roll Call to bring 2 Bingo prizes.
