True Ma­son hon­ored at Golden Rule Lodge

Seen last week at the Golden Rule Lodge, in Stanstead, were (l. to r.): Dis­trict Deputy of Saint Fran­cis, Wen­dell Smith; Charles H. Keeler with his Gold Bar and Medal; and Mas­ter of the Golden Rule Lodge, Matthew Far­fan.

Last week, dur­ing the Golden Rule Lodge’s monthly Freema­son’s meet­ing, in Stanstead, a very spe­cial mem­ber of the Lodge was hon­ored. Eighty-seven year-old Charles H. Keeler, a pre­vi­ous Mas­ter of the Golden Rule Lodge, re­ceived his sixty year Gold Bar. “What’s also in­ter­est­ing is that it was Mr. Keeler who built the fire­place at the Golden Rule Lodge,” com­mented lo­cal his­to­rian Matthew Far­fan who is the Lodge’s present Mas­ter. Mr. Keeler is a for­mer Stanstead res­i­dent who now lives on the West Is­land of Mon­treal with his wife Meta.:
