True Mason honored at Golden Rule Lodge
Seen last week at the Golden Rule Lodge, in Stanstead, were (l. to r.): District Deputy of Saint Francis, Wendell Smith; Charles H. Keeler with his Gold Bar and Medal; and Master of the Golden Rule Lodge, Matthew Farfan.
Last week, during the Golden Rule Lodge’s monthly Freemason’s meeting, in Stanstead, a very special member of the Lodge was honored. Eighty-seven year-old Charles H. Keeler, a previous Master of the Golden Rule Lodge, received his sixty year Gold Bar. “What’s also interesting is that it was Mr. Keeler who built the fireplace at the Golden Rule Lodge,” commented local historian Matthew Farfan who is the Lodge’s present Master. Mr. Keeler is a former Stanstead resident who now lives on the West Island of Montreal with his wife Meta.:
