Golden Rule Lodge continues Oyster Dinner Tradition
Amore than one hundred year old tradition took place at the Golden Rule Lodge no. 5, in Stanstead on December 28th, when over forty guests attended the annual Oyster Night Supper. The guests were served oysters, homemade tourtiere and lasagna at the Lodge, the oldest in Canada. Many special guests attended the dinner and Lisa Bernais and her children, Nathaniel and Chelsea Phaneuf, also dropped by. Ms. Bernais was presented with a cheque of $1000, raised by members of the Golden Rule Lodge and the Masonic Foundation of Quebec, to help pay for a new adapted vehicle for Nathaniel who has Hunter’s Syndrome.
Master of Golden Rule Lodge no. 5, Matthew Farfan, presented a $1000 cheque to Lisa Bernais during the Lodge’s annual Oyster Night Supper.
