Minister Bibeau to consult on Budget
TheHonourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Compton-Stanstead M.P. and Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, invites the population and local organizations from the riding and the Greater Sherbrooke area to participate in pre-budgetary consultations initiated by the Minister of Finance, the Honourable Bill Morneau.
"Our government wants to implement an ambitious economic program that will help create jobs, stimulate economic growth and ensure the prosperity of the middle class. To achieve our objectives and to ensure they are in line with our local reality, it is important to consult the population and local organizations," said MarieClaude Bibeau.
Everyone can actively participate in this process via the website Budget. gc.ca/pbc16/ where five ways to share recommendations are proposed. Input can also be submitted on Twitter using the hashtag #PBC16.
Organizations from the private, public and community sectors are invited to submit a brief before February 5th, 2016, to firstname.lastname@example.org in which they can suggest practical means to achieve government commitments listed at www.realchange.ca. In addition, a public event whose format will be determined by the number of submissions will be held in the presence of Minister Bibeau at Bishop's University on February 13th.
