Min­is­ter Bibeau to con­sult on Bud­get

TheHonourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Comp­ton-Stanstead M.P. and Min­is­ter of In­ter­na­tional De­vel­op­ment and La Franco­phonie, in­vites the pop­u­la­tion and lo­cal or­ga­ni­za­tions from the rid­ing and the Greater Sher­brooke area to par­tic­i­pate in pre-bud­getary con­sul­ta­tions ini­ti­ated by the Min­is­ter of Fi­nance, the Honourable Bill Morneau.

"Our govern­ment wants to im­ple­ment an am­bi­tious eco­nomic pro­gram that will help cre­ate jobs, stim­u­late eco­nomic growth and en­sure the pros­per­ity of the middle class. To achieve our ob­jec­tives and to en­sure they are in line with our lo­cal re­al­ity, it is im­por­tant to con­sult the pop­u­la­tion and lo­cal or­ga­ni­za­tions," said MarieClaude Bibeau.

Ev­ery­one can ac­tively par­tic­i­pate in this process via the web­site Bud­get. gc.ca/pbc16/ where five ways to share rec­om­men­da­tions are pro­posed. In­put can also be sub­mit­ted on Twit­ter us­ing the hash­tag #PBC16.

Or­ga­ni­za­tions from the pri­vate, pub­lic and com­mu­nity sec­tors are in­vited to sub­mit a brief be­fore Fe­bru­ary 5th, 2016, to marie-claude.bibeau.c1@parl.gc.ca in which they can sug­gest prac­ti­cal means to achieve govern­ment com­mit­ments listed at www.re­alchange.ca. In ad­di­tion, a pub­lic event whose for­mat will be de­ter­mined by the num­ber of sub­mis­sions will be held in the pres­ence of Min­is­ter Bibeau at Bishop's Univer­sity on Fe­bru­ary 13th.
