Global cit­i­zen­ship at the heart of talks to be held at Bishop’s Univer­sity

On Fe­bru­ary 6th 2016, Bishop's Univer­sity will host TEDxBishopsU, a mul­ti­dis­ci­plinary event that will fea­ture speak­ers drawn from the tal­ented pool of stu­dents, fac­ulty, alumni, com­mu­nity mem­bers, and staff from Aca­dia, Bishop’s, Mount Al­li­son and St. Fran­cis Xavier’s univer­si­ties.

Each talk will fo­cus on an as­pect of higher education – ei­ther in­side or out­side the class­room – that fos­tered so­cial jus­tice, ad­vo­cated for hu­man rights, or fa­cil­i­tated a trans­for­ma­tive ex­pe­ri­ence that led to an en­hanced sense of global cit­i­zen­ship.
