Sherbrooke activities celebrate Black History Month
TheTouche Noir organization has planned a variety of activities for its 7th edition of Black History Month. For the occasion, Quebec singer Sylvie DesGroseilliers will be the spokesperson of the event as well as put on a performance at the Granada Theatre.
The Village des Artistes will take place, for the second year in a row, at the Université de Sherbrooke’s Centre Culturel on February 20th. There will be artists and artisans showing and selling their creations, as well as games for children, dance workshops and a fashion show. Admission is free.
There will be a Spectacle de Diversité, with amateur students and professional performers, at the Granada Theatre on February 26th. The Coupe de Nation soccer and basketball competition will take place on February 27th in the interior stadium of the Université de Sherbrooke’s sports centre.
