Sher­brooke ac­tiv­i­ties cel­e­brate Black His­tory Month

TheTouche Noir or­ga­ni­za­tion has planned a va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties for its 7th edi­tion of Black His­tory Month. For the oc­ca­sion, Que­bec singer Sylvie Des­Gro­seil­liers will be the spokesper­son of the event as well as put on a per­for­mance at the Granada Theatre.

The Vil­lage des Artistes will take place, for the se­cond year in a row, at the Univer­sité de Sher­brooke’s Cen­tre Cul­turel on Fe­bru­ary 20th. There will be artists and ar­ti­sans show­ing and sell­ing their cre­ations, as well as games for chil­dren, dance work­shops and a fash­ion show. Ad­mis­sion is free.

There will be a Spec­ta­cle de Di­ver­sité, with am­a­teur stu­dents and pro­fes­sional per­form­ers, at the Granada Theatre on Fe­bru­ary 26th. The Coupe de Na­tion soc­cer and bas­ket­ball com­pe­ti­tion will take place on Fe­bru­ary 27th in the in­te­rior sta­dium of the Univer­sité de Sher­brooke’s sports cen­tre.
