The Beaulne Museum of Coaticook is pleased to present the exhibition « Mémoire féminine » by the artist Johanne Côté from the 13th of March to the 17th of April 2016. The grand opening will be held on Sunday the 13th of March at 2pm. The public and the press are cordially invited.

"Mémoire féminine» is the third solo exhibition for the artist Johanne Côté. She wanted to combine various communication modes and heritage techniques. She found rhythm and form similarities in Morse code, in brail as well as in textile art techniques. Therefore, she has woven and embroidered her creations from dots and lines.

Some creations were made with weaving within the “Trois Cercles de Fermières de Coaticook. Others were embroidered using cross stitching. In addition to these, some were completed during the artist residency in Coaticook from the 21st of July to 5th of October 2015. These creations reflect the artist's questions about coding and deciphering in what surrounds us.
