Fortin announces $90,000 for ACET
Minister and Sherbrooke deputy Luc Fortin has announced, on behalf of the Vice-premier, Minister responsible for small and medium-sized businesses, economic development and the condition of women, Lise Theriault, a financial contribution of $90,000 to the Accelerateur de creation d’entreprises technologiques (ACET) for a virtual accompaniment project for entrepreneurs.
“To become an entrepreneur, you must have self-confidence along with being creative and determined. But you must also be well-trained and have accompaniment. This is the role that ACET plays. Our government is proud to support the creation of this project which will favor the growth of a true entrepreneurial culture,” said Minister Fortin.
The project, evaluated at $150,000, comes from the strategic plan of the Table d’action en entrepreneuriat de l’Estrie and aims to accelerate and facilitate the creation of businesses by putting in place the web platform jesuisentrepreneur.ca. This website will allow the organization to virtually accompany the entrepreneur in all their steps, and will allow the entrepreneur to access useful tools for the development of their business.
“To assure the economic development of Quebec, we are betting on the creation of innovative and visionary enterprises as well as on the next generation of entrepreneurs. As such, ACET, which can accompany university graduates in different fields in the start-up of innovative business projects, is a major partner of our government,” commented Minister Theriault.
