Fortin an­nounces $90,000 for ACET

Min­is­ter and Sher­brooke deputy Luc Fortin has an­nounced, on be­half of the Vice-premier, Min­is­ter re­spon­si­ble for small and medium-sized busi­nesses, eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment and the con­di­tion of women, Lise The­ri­ault, a fi­nan­cial con­tri­bu­tion of $90,000 to the Ac­cel­er­a­teur de cre­ation d’en­treprises tech­nologiques (ACET) for a vir­tual ac­com­pa­ni­ment pro­ject for en­trepreneurs.

“To be­come an en­tre­pre­neur, you must have self-con­fi­dence along with be­ing cre­ative and de­ter­mined. But you must also be well-trained and have ac­com­pa­ni­ment. This is the role that ACET plays. Our govern­ment is proud to sup­port the cre­ation of this pro­ject which will fa­vor the growth of a true en­tre­pre­neur­ial cul­ture,” said Min­is­ter Fortin.

The pro­ject, eval­u­ated at $150,000, comes from the strate­gic plan of the Ta­ble d’ac­tion en en­trepreneuriat de l’Estrie and aims to ac­cel­er­ate and fa­cil­i­tate the cre­ation of busi­nesses by putting in place the web plat­form je­su­isen­ This web­site will al­low the or­ga­ni­za­tion to vir­tu­ally ac­com­pany the en­tre­pre­neur in all their steps, and will al­low the en­tre­pre­neur to ac­cess use­ful tools for the de­vel­op­ment of their busi­ness.

“To as­sure the eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment of Que­bec, we are bet­ting on the cre­ation of in­no­va­tive and vi­sion­ary en­ter­prises as well as on the next gen­er­a­tion of en­trepreneurs. As such, ACET, which can ac­com­pany univer­sity grad­u­ates in dif­fer­ent fields in the start-up of in­no­va­tive busi­ness projects, is a ma­jor part­ner of our govern­ment,” com­mented Min­is­ter The­ri­ault.
