Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau to Speak

Abreakfast meet­ing will be held on Thurs., March 17 by the Cana­dian Fed­er­a­tion of Univer­sity Women Sher­brooke & District (CFUW) fol­lowed by a pre­sen­ta­tion by The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, P.C., M.P. for Comp­ton-Stanstead.

Born and raised in Sher­brooke, Marie-Claude Bibeau earned an un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree in Eco­nom­ics and a grad­u­ate diploma in En­vi­ron­men­tal Man­age­ment from the Univer­sity of Sher­brooke. She ini­tially fo­cused her pro­fes­sional ca­reer on in­ter­na­tional de­vel­op­ment. In 1997, she re­fo­cused her pro­fes­sional ca­reer on her ad­min­is­tra­tive and en­vi­ron­men­tal skills. From 2008 to 2015, she was the ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor of the Sher­brooke Na­ture and Sci­ence Mu­seum. Along­side her pro- fes­sional du­ties, Marie-Claude has been in­volved as an en­er­getic vol­un­teer in var­i­ous cul­tural and so­cio-recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties. She was elected as the Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for the fed­eral rid­ing of Comp­ton— Stanstead on Oc­to­ber 19, 2015. It was the first time she had run in a Cana­dian gen­eral elec­tion. The pub­lic is in­vited to at­tend this talk at St. An­drews Church, 256 Queen St. Sher­brooke (Len­noxville). The Gen­eral Meet­ing with break­fast will be from 8:4510:00 AM and the pre­sen­ta­tion will fol­low from 10:00 – 11:00. Reser­va­tions are not nec­es­sary and there is hand­i­capped-ac­cess.
