Lo­cal bak­ery has best bread

Just look­ing at the smiles on the faces of the clients af­ter they have picked up their daily bread at the Les Vraies Richesses bak­ery, in Stanstead, you know the bread baked there has got to be ex­cep­tional. The judges of the pres­ti­gious Mon­treal edi­tion of the "Concours Meilleur Ar­ti­san Boulanger util­isant des pro­duits cer­ti­fiés bi­ologiques" cer­tainly be­lieved so, nam­ing Jean-Pierre Oddo, of Les Vraies Richesses, as the baker of the “Meilleur pain salé a la farine Kho­rasan” (salted Ka­mut flour bread) in Que­bec.

The event, put on by the Me­unerie Mi­lanaise in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Al­i­ments du Québec and the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert, took place on March 11th at the Mon­treal Palais de Con­gres.

The pur­pose of the "Concours Meilleur Ar­ti­san Boulanger util­isant des pro­duits cer­ti­fiés bi­ologiques" is to pro­mote and rec­og­nize the ar­ti­sans who in­vest their tal­ent and their time to per­pet­u­ate the art of bak­ing us­ing nat­u­ral prod­ucts.
