The monthly meet­ing of the Austin W.I. took place on Wed­nes­day, March 9th at the Austin Town Hall. The meet­ing was opened at 1:30 p.m. with all re­peat­ing the MS Col­lect and Salute to the Cana­dian Flag. MOTTO: If you don’t have any wrinkles, you haven’t laughed enough! Roll Call was to give an Ir­ish and/or Easter say­ing and the wear­ing of the green and was an­swered by 6 mem­bers with much fun and laugh­ter! There was also one more mem­ber­ship paid. Sec­re­tary Liz Good­win read the min­utes from the Fe­bru­ary meet­ing and Trea­surer Betty Telford pre­sented the fi­nan­cial re­port to date. All were ap­proved. Pro­gram: it was planned to set up a Com­mit­tee Meet­ing to sort through all the W.I. Info, Doc­u­ments and Be­long­ings that have been col­lected over the years, to de­cide which to put in the ar­chives and what should be dis­posed of. The date and time of said meet­ing is to be when the weather is more de­pend­able. The win­ner of the monthly draw was Liz Good­win. The next one is to be sup­plied by Tina Linde. Fol­low­ing this meet­ing all en­joyed a tasty tea which was fur­nished by all at­tend­ing. The Birth­day girls were Bea Juby, March 4th, and Lise Des­bois whose Birth­day was Jan­uary 16th , the non-meet­ing month, so greet­ings were given to them both, com­plete with a beau­ti­ful Birth­day cake brought be Debi Bonn. Many Thanks to Debi! The April meet­ing will be com­bined with the Brome County W.I. An­nual Spring meet­ing and will take place at Sheila Need­ham’s home, 19 Cameron Rd., South Bolton, at 10:00, am. Early birds wel­come for light re­fresh­ments at 9:30 am. Co-hosts: Austin Branch; Potluck: as­sorted salad and desserts. Con­tact Bea Juby for Potluck and car­pool­ing.
