For as far back as Lennoxville Borough president David Price can remember, and he has sat on the Lennoxville council almost fifteen years in all, March’s monthly council meeting on March 22nd was the first meeting where there wasn’t a single resident in attendance. “I think it’s a record,” he said to the Stanstead Journal.
The problem of truck traffic on College Street has continued despite the opening of the 410 extension. “They’re not supposed to be downtown but it’s a shortcut. We’ll try to get more signage up,” said Mr. Price.
Warning previously about lots of construction in the Borough this spring and summer, Mr. Price explained which roads would be getting repaired. Riverview, Glenday and a small section of Mitchell Road will get a layer of gravel. “We have asked that they remove that pavement on Glenday but they don’t want to do it since that road will be gone after the extension of the highway,” commented Mr. Price about one of the worst streets in Sherbrooke.
