Many People Occupied Over The Cold Weather
Various bridge groups seem to keep many people occupied over the cold weather, but numbers dwindled to five tables at the Gourmet Bridge Club Saturday at Pie and Pasta. The holiday weekend game, organized by Faith Olsen produced the following winners: Larry Rolleston 5690, Ellie Ingram 5440, Anne Seadale 4840, Gwen Berry 4510, and Pat Hunt 4360.
High averages for the season are Pat Hunt 5360, Faith Olsen 4919, John Newton 4598, Sally Newton 4590, Don Hunt 4506, Marcie Mastin 4450, Jackie Beaulac 4436, Candy Moot 4308, and Ellie Ingram 4264.
The Monday duplicate games in Barton sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League awarded points in the following games: March 7 Ellie Ingram and Gwen Berry, Bill Cummings and Louis Streeter, Carolyn Lyster and Susan Marchsani, Huguette Black and Anne Seadale; on March 14 Steve Randle and Dennis Lyster,James Long and Sheila Long, Lillian Kelley and Pat Hunt, Al Traver and Barbara Buchanan, Alan Feltmarch and Anna Leland, Janet Long and Ben Mastin; on March 21 Barbara Varney and Joan Labaron, Jim Long and Sheila Long, Steve Randle and Dennis Lyster, Jeanine Clermont and Sharon Slayton.
