Will it stand or slide?

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

The money spent by the Derby Line Cemetery on a retaining wall may well go down the hill and into the river. Observations on the Canadian side of the Tomifobia River show that the clay base is eroding inch by inch anytime there is rain. Local observers say that a couple of feet have already gone into the river, a fact that we cannot verify by ourselves. As the Cemetery would be responsible for any major damage on the Canadian side, the engineers responsible for its design must have been confident that it would withstand the elements. Those older will remember that the United States cleared a path on their border to guard against an invasion of Quebec separatists during the 1970’s, using the equipment that had served them so well during the Vietnam War in the DMZ.
