The Beaulne Museum is delighted to present the exhibit « Couleur ou noir et blanc » by the artist Ljubomir Ivankovic from the 24th of April to the 29th of May 2016. The grand opening will be held on Sunday the 24th of April at 2pm. The public and the press are cordially invited.

Ljubomir Ivankovic stems from the traditional European schools or Arts. He mastered many disciplines in fine arts, a professional approach and dedication to his work which is enriched by his sensitivity. The result is a progressing forty year career. Today, his main medium is oil. With precision and an accurate technique he expresses himself in a surrealist manner. The elegance and balance composition of his creations are the foundation of his style. Nonetheless, voluminous forms, a rich palette and vividness are all part of his signature.

Inspired by daily life, he always surpasses the ordinary; he paints the human body, portraits, sceneries and still life. The amazing vitality of his work comes mostly from brilliant colours, brightness and the difference between reality and make-believe. His creations are classic, modern and contemporary.

From Ex-Yugoslavia, Ljubomir Ivankovic lives and works in Montreal and detains a Masters in fine arts and applied arts form the University of Belgrade (Ex-Yugoslavia). He presented many solos as well as collective exhibits which enabled him to receive many awards and merits. He is a member of many national and international professional artists associations: “Conseil québécois d’estampe, ULUS, ULUPUDUS et RAAV ».
