Townshippers’ Association, a non-profit community organization focused on promoting and supporting the interests of the English-speaking minority community in the Eastern Townships, is hiring three University-level student positions for the summer of 2016.
full-time 11-week positions, beginning on Monday, June 20, 2016, include a Communications and Outreach Assistant, Festival Administration Assistant and Strategic Planning and Membership Development Assistant. Applications for all three positions must be received by Friday, April 29, 2016.
Communications and Outreach Assistant will be responsible for a variety of communications tasks including digitizing press clippings, organizing an image bank, developing written content for newspaper articles, press releases and websites and assisting in the compilation of community outreach survey data. This position would be ideal for individuals with strong written skills who are creative and organized.
Festival Administration Assistant will provide general support in the organization of the Association’s annual fall cultural festival, Townshippers’ Day, as well as support other cultural activities happening throughout the summer. Ideal applicants have a strength in event planning, great organizational skills and an interest in arts and culture.
Strategic Planning and Membership Development Assistant will be involved in the planning of community consultations, and development of content for survey applications, focus groups and diversified welcome packages.
