Town­ship­pers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, a non-profit com­mu­nity or­ga­ni­za­tion fo­cused on pro­mot­ing and sup­port­ing the in­ter­ests of the English-speak­ing mi­nor­ity com­mu­nity in the East­ern Town­ships, is hir­ing three Univer­sity-level stu­dent po­si­tions for the sum­mer of 2016.

full-time 11-week po­si­tions, be­gin­ning on Mon­day, June 20, 2016, in­clude a Com­mu­ni­ca­tions and Outreach As­sis­tant, Fes­ti­val Ad­min­is­tra­tion As­sis­tant and Strate­gic Plan­ning and Mem­ber­ship De­vel­op­ment As­sis­tant. Ap­pli­ca­tions for all three po­si­tions must be re­ceived by Fri­day, April 29, 2016.

Com­mu­ni­ca­tions and Outreach As­sis­tant will be re­spon­si­ble for a va­ri­ety of com­mu­ni­ca­tions tasks in­clud­ing dig­i­tiz­ing press clip­pings, or­ga­niz­ing an im­age bank, de­vel­op­ing writ­ten con­tent for news­pa­per ar­ti­cles, press re­leases and web­sites and as­sist­ing in the com­pi­la­tion of com­mu­nity outreach sur­vey data. This po­si­tion would be ideal for in­di­vid­u­als with strong writ­ten skills who are cre­ative and or­ga­nized.

Fes­ti­val Ad­min­is­tra­tion As­sis­tant will pro­vide gen­eral sup­port in the or­ga­ni­za­tion of the As­so­ci­a­tion’s an­nual fall cul­tural fes­ti­val, Town­ship­pers’ Day, as well as sup­port other cul­tural ac­tiv­i­ties hap­pen­ing through­out the sum­mer. Ideal ap­pli­cants have a strength in event plan­ning, great or­ga­ni­za­tional skills and an in­ter­est in arts and cul­ture.

Strate­gic Plan­ning and Mem­ber­ship De­vel­op­ment As­sis­tant will be in­volved in the plan­ning of com­mu­nity con­sul­ta­tions, and de­vel­op­ment of con­tent for sur­vey ap­pli­ca­tions, fo­cus groups and di­ver­si­fied wel­come pack­ages.
