Busy season begun for Colby-Curtis Museum

They could be school groups or ladies’ groups; it was a trend,” explained Chloe Southam, the museum’s Curator and Director. Other postcards are of landscapes or street scenes, even postcards made from some of J. J. Parker’s photographs of Stanstead’s great fire. “There are written texts on some of the postcards. It was a quick way to give news and to ask for news,” added Ms. Southam. This exhibit, which interestingly enough seems like an early version of Facebook, won’t last long, only until June 11th.
The museum’s annual perennial plant sale will take place on Saturday,
