Agood crowd showed up for a fundraising dance at the Stanstead Legion last Sunday. Elaine Mc Comb organized the event to raise money for Pet Connection, the animal shelter in Lennoxville that was damaged from a fire in the winter. “We were able to raise $600. Jennifer (Young) was quite happy with the results,” said Mrs. Mc Comb. The live music was provided free of charge by Bill and the Boys, the Country Swingers and a few others. “The work to fix the shelter is not yet completed, but Jennifer said that at least it has walls,” added Mrs. Mc Comb.
