Sher­brooke mayor elected pres­i­dent of UMQ

At the 95th sit­ting of the Union des mu­nic­i­pal­ités du Que­bec (UMQ), held in Que­bec City on May 12th and 13th, mem­bers of the Board of Direc­tors elected Sher­brooke mayor Bernard Sévi­gny to the po­si­tion of Pres­i­dent. Mr. Sévi­gny is the 55th pres­i­dent of the UMQ and the fourth Sher­brooke mayor to hold that post.

The fol­low­ing were elected to the Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee: Drummondville mayor Alexan­dre Cus­son, 1st vice-pres­i­dent; Le­vis mayor Gilles Le­houil­lier, 2nd vice-pres­i­dent; RiviereRouge mayor Deb­o­rah Be­langer, Trea­surer; Sain­teJulie mayor Suzanne Roy, pres­i­dent ex-of­fi­cio.
