Earth-friendly shopping in Sherbrooke
The City of Sherbrooke will be holding its city-wide garage sales for the next three weekends, beginning in the boroughs of Fleurimont and Brompton on May 21st and the 22nd. The following weekend, May 28th and the 29th, the garage sales will take place in the boroughs of Lennoxville and Jacques-Cartier. The Ladies Auxiliary of the ANAF Unit 318 (the Hut) have a garage sale planned for May 28th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. On June 4th and 5th there will be garage sales in the boroughs of Rock Forest-Saint ElieDeauville and Mont Bellevue.
An interactive map and the addresses of the sales will be available on the city’s website, under ‘vente-debarras’, at the Sherbrooke tourist information office at 785 King West, and at the borough offices beginning on the Tuesday before each of the sales.
Sherbrooke’s Grande Tournée des ventes-debarras was started in 2001 to promote the selling and re-use of items.
