Frontier’s delightful Dog Walk this Saturday

Stanstead Journal - - FORUM - Victoria Vanier, Ogden

It is the 30th anniversary of the Frontier Animal Society, the animal shelter located in Stanstead that is home to dozens of rescued dogs and cats, so organizers are hoping for a big turnout at this Saturday’s annual Dog Walk Fundraiser. The most important fundraiser of the year, people can take part by either making a flat donation before the walk or by taking pledges from friends and family, or both! Pledge sheets can be found on the Frontier Animal Society website or by calling 819 876-7747.

The walk begins along the Tomifobia River, in Ogden at 65 Chemin Embury, and follows the beautiful Tomifobia Nature Trail. Registration for the walk begins at 10:30 am and the walkers set out at 11:00. Sandwiches and beverages, (and probably dog biscuits and cool water) will be served after the hike. Dogs from the shelter, thanks to volunteers, also get the chance to take part in this delightful nature trek.
