World Mu­sic Women’s Choir Sings Two Ben­e­fit Con­certs for Refugees

Choromondo is a dy­namic, women’s com­mu­nity choir from the bor­der vil­lages of Que­bec and north­ern Ver­mont.

The women sing tra­di­tional mu­sic from around the world, which of­ten in­cludes drum­ming and tra­di­tional dances.

Their unique and colour­ful cos­tumes and pas­sion­ate love of mu­sic cap­ti­vates au­di­ences of all ages and tastes in mu­sic.

Artist and com­poser Al­lyna Har­ris has in­spired and di­rected

these women since Choromondo was founded in 1999. This year’s 17th an­nual con­cert in­cludes mu­sic from South Africa, Mace­do­nia, Que­bec, First Na­tions, Bul­garia, Al­ba­nia, Swe­den, The Bea­tles and more. All prof­its to ben­e­fit the Mas­saw­ippi Refugee Sup­port Group.
