World Music Women’s Choir Sings Two Benefit Concerts for Refugees
Choromondo is a dynamic, women’s community choir from the border villages of Quebec and northern Vermont.
The women sing traditional music from around the world, which often includes drumming and traditional dances.
Their unique and colourful costumes and passionate love of music captivates audiences of all ages and tastes in music.
Artist and composer Allyna Harris has inspired and directed
these women since Choromondo was founded in 1999. This year’s 17th annual concert includes music from South Africa, Macedonia, Quebec, First Nations, Bulgaria, Albania, Sweden, The Beatles and more. All profits to benefit the Massawippi Refugee Support Group.
